EWB Connect aims to facilitate a mindset shift and capability lift in the infrastructure profession towards greater social value creation and a culture of pro bono engineering.

Engineers Without Borders Australia (EWB) is a member-based, community organisation that creates social value through engineering. Through partnerships and collaboration, we focus on developing skills, knowledge and appropriate engineering solutions.  Our vision is a world where everyone has access to the engineering knowledge and resources required to lead a life of opportunity, free from poverty.

pro bono Projects & opportunities 

Opportunities to engage with social value creation processes and provide pro bono professional services in Australia and Overseas with EWB Australia and our community partners are available. 

Expertise is often required across several disciplines such as urban design, civil and infrastructure development, quantity surveying, land surveying, energy/renewables, architecture and landscape architecture and software development.

Opportunities can range from one-on-one professional development support, technical projects, long term project partnerships, short/long term secondments and pro bono field trips as an example.

PROFESSIONAL Skills DEVELOPMENT

The EWB Professional Skills Development Program provides new opportunities for targeted professional development workshops and week long immersive in-country experiences that build professional skills and in some cases leverage the technical skills of professional participants to work on real-world challenges.
